ABCs of CBD
The culture of cannabinoids can be confusing. We’re here to help you separate the hemp from the chaff.
Is it legal?
The FDA is still trying to figure it out, but our lawyers say yes, hemp and hemp extract products are legal in the United States. We just can’t sell it to kids under 21, and we can’t claim that it has any medical cures or benefits. We can’t tell you to put it in your food as a dietery supplement or ingredient either. And if you live in a state with special laws, we might not be able to ship it to you.
But here’s what we can tell you…
American Botanical Company hemp products are USA grown, certified USDA organic and are lab tested to meet ISO 17025 standards.
Is It Safe?
There hasn’t been enough medical and scientific study on CBD for the FDA to determine its efficacy. However, the World Health Organization found no adverse health outcomes, and identified several medical applications for cannabidiol.
According to a preliminary WHO report published in 2017, naturally occurring CBD is safe and well tolerated in humans (and animals), and is not associated with any negative public health effects. [PDF].
Brine for Your Body and Brain
There’s an actual science that goes on when adding the ionic particles and bionic principles of mineral salts to your bath. Claims of reinvigoration and rejuvenation aside, there are real therapeutic benefits to a warm soak with CBD-infused salts. Even the Romans used salt baths to reduce muscle tension, melt away stress, and detoxify the body. You don’t have to be in Rome to do what they do – create your own ancient ritual at home with our and CBD infused therapeutic soaking salts.
